Mission Statement

The Delphi Chamber of Commerce, Inc. is organized on behalf of its membership to promote the economic welfare of the business community and contribute to the quality of life in the Delphi area.

What Does Your Delphi Chamber of Commerce Do?

Questions often raised by businesses when deciding upon Delphi Chamber of Commerce membership are, "Just what does the Chamber do?" "What can the Chamber do for me?" and "If I write a check of $80.00 for annual dues, what can I expect for that investment?"

Do you know Delphi Chamber of Commerce. . .

  1. Organizes and supports the Discover Delphi ad campaigns.
  2. Sponsors the July 4th Fireworks Celebration.
  3. Arranges and serves the Old Settlers Fish Fry.
  4. Sponsors the Christmas Season contests.
  5. Annually presents the Samuel Milroy Award, the most prestigious community award for entrepreneurial or philanthropic service.
  6. Serves as a clearinghouse for information requests about Delphi and activities.
  7. Sponsors seminars on subjects of interest to our business community.
  8. Presents the Making A Difference award to someone, not necessarily a teacher, who gives extra time and effort in the education of DCSC students.
  9. Works with the City of Delphi to provide community information to new residents.
  10. Presents the Community Appearance award to honor a business which has demonstrated exceptional effort in cosmetic improvements to their facility.
  11. Helps with Santa’s appearances in Delphi.
  12. Coordinates the downtown street fair on the Courthouse Square during Carroll County Old Settlers held yearly in August.
  13. Has active members on many local committees and at special state meetings.
  14. Provides the lights and power for the annual Monument Tree of Lights on the Courthouse Square.
  15. Sponsors the Festival of the Trees in the Courthouse Rotunda in December.
  16. Works with the Canal Association to present a Pumpkin Patch (of prizes) for children at Halloween.
  17. Coordinates an Annual Banquet on the last Monday of January with an entertaining speaker, State of the City address by the Mayor and updates on area businesses.
  18. Has information brochures accessible 24/7 in the hallway by the Chamber office.
  19. Offers a Shop Delphi gift certificate program supporting local business shopping.
  20. Sponsors a scholarship at DCHS.
  21. Provides representation on the Main Street Committee.
  22. Works with area media to promote Delphi.
  23. Offers assistance in gathering and disbursing information with state and local government and agencies and other Chambers.
  24. Has open Board of Directors meetings, 5:30 p.m. on the second Monday each month.
  25. Is an all volunteer board. Only the secretary is a paid position.
  26. Has an extensive local e mail list to assist in communicating Chamber activities.
  27. Updates the website and links to help those near and far from Delphi know what is going on in our great community and county.

Chamber membership means getting involved. It means expanding one’s focus toward the good of the community. It means speaking your mind on issues which make a difference. It means working hard behind the scenes in many areas to bring about an environment which nurtures stability and promotes opportunity for growth.

Can Delphi Chamber of Commerce positively answer whether you will receive a return for your $80.00 annual dues? Yes, it can! The amount of return however, is up to you.
